Hi Folks,
well, as most of you may know I’ve just been across to Bulgaria to organise the start of work on the big hoose. I talked Alastair into coming along telling him it would be an ‘great adventure’….little did we know just how much of an adventure.
It went very well and I’ve found myself a couple of fine, ex hardline communists (yes, there’s still plenty of them there) to carry out the work…
Things didn’t quite end up as well as they started though…and I’ve attached some holiday snaps from hell
….. Take one car, add some black ice and this is the result. Myself, Alastair and Vanko, the driver, all walked (or should I say, crawled) out of this basically unscathed. Poor Al split his eyebrow, we think when his head connected with mine, and his glasses smashed….
So he has yet another scar on his rugby ravaged face and I’m still picking shards of glass out of my bonce….
We’re getting around like a couple of very old people at the moment with plenty of knocks and bruises…but alive and very thankful for that.
And Bulgaria ???? I’m feeling a wee bit at odds about it right now but have no doubt that once the sound of that car flipping over and over has gone from my head, I’ll get back on track for my move there…….Have to really…got a couple of fine, strapping men over there building me a fabulous bathroom and kitchen so I can live in the house… though I reckon that my preferred method of travel to Miladoniszti in the future may be the train….
